Bloppies & More

There was a lot of progress on the house this week!  On Monday, the sprinklers were installed and we now know that the giant tank is for that.  They also poured the cement for the front porch.

Tuesday was a day for inspections and then on Wednesday they did what I call the "bloppies" all over the house.  Steve told me it is sealant, but I think bloppies makes much more sense.  They put that on all the seams and around the pipes, wires, etc.

On Friday, they fixed the steps leading to the second floor.  On Saturday they put in the water line from our well to our house and they did the insulation.  There's probably an inspection that has to happen, but now that insulation is done, drywall can happen any day now!  We also know they are going to be putting in the septic tank this week.  After drywall, they are going to work on the siding and the stone on the exterior of the house.

Steps are fixed finally!!  The framers received the bottom step backwards.  They put it in backwards so they could move on, but it took a few weeks to get the replacement steps.

This is probably the last house blog until Memorial Day weekend.  I have a conference in Atlanta this week and then Steve is meeting me down there and we're going on vacation again!  Hopefully when we come back from vacation, we have stone and siding up because I'm dying to see it!!

One last thing to share.  Pictures of our current house were taken last Thursday and I really hope our hard work has paid off making everything clean and shiny!  Beth said we did a great job!  :-)  The post for the sign was installed on Friday and Beth's putting a "coming soon" listing out tomorrow.  We are officially on the market this coming Friday.  Wish us luck please!!
